In anticipation of the total solar eclipse on April 8, Allegheny College will offer a planetarium show "The Eclipse in Our Own Backyard" on
Sunday, April 7th at 7 pm in Wible Planetarium (Carr Hall room 121). This show is a repeat of the one held in March.
The presentation, hosted by Professor of Physics James Lombardi, will describe why eclipses occur, safe observation techniques, and what to expect on the day of the eclipse.
The session will feature Allegheny's full-dome and star projectors, offering a fun way to prepare for the total eclipse. As an added bonus, all attendees will receive complimentary eclipse glasses.
The show is free, appropriate for all ages, and open to anyone. Registration is required due to limited space, so secure your spot by filling out the form below.
The GPS address of Carr Hall is 445 Park Ave. Nearby parking is available along Park Avenue and in the lots off Allegheny Street.
